The wild alter ego of our Japanese Paper Yarn! Crafted by twisting a trio of colours together in one energetic showstopper yarn for the ultimate statement piece. Printed Japanese paper yarn is the perfect thickness for hand knit and crochet as well as machine knitting! Made from Japanese Paper, it has a dry handle and unique paper-y texture. It is surprisingly strong when knitted up and has quite a lot of structure making it a great choice for hats to bags and other vessels like plant holders!

Composition: 100% paper
Weight: 50g (225 metres) 100g (450 metres) 200g (900 metres)

Works well with…
Simple stitches and let the yarn sing! For machine knitters, stick to single bed knitting as it doesn't have any elasticity! Makes cute water bottle holders, flower planters and objects that need a structured yarn.

1. Handfeel swatch is 1 end of DUKKAH knitted 1 needle 1 out on standard domestic on tension 8.
2. Creative swatch is tucked fringe pattern knitted in RISO on standard gauge.

Standard domestics: 1 end, for all needles use minimally. Alternatively 1 in 1 out needle set up at loosest tension for bigger pieces.
Mid - bulky domestics: 1 end.

HOW THICK IS THIS YARN?

Our yarn thickness is measured using the NM count, the industry standard in the textile world. This differs from ply, which is commonly used for hand knitting yarns. To help you visualize the yarn's thickness, we've compared it to everyday items.

This yarn is similar thickness to cooked fettuccine, but flat and tape like.
