Weight: 30g (1020 metres) 50g (1700 metres) 100g (3400 metres)
Yarn Count: 1/34nm

WHAT CAN I MAKE?

Italian steel yarn is delicate and structured and above all - easy to knit with spectacular results! It has a subtle sheen to take you from day to night. Give it a scrunch after knitting to add crushed texture to anything from garments to bags! Suitable for heat post treatments to imprint your own texture.

Works well with…
Plain stitches like single jersey show off the memory of the yarn!

HOW THICK IS THIS YARN?

Our yarn thickness is measured using the NM count, the industry standard in the textile world. This differs from ply, which is commonly used for hand knitting yarns. To help you visualize the yarn's thickness, we've compared it to everyday items.

This yarn is similar thickness to sewing thread, fine and shiny.

MACHINE SUGGESTION

1. Hand feel swatch is 2 ends of NOTTE knitted on standard domestic, on tension 3.
2. Creative swatch is single jersey with thermoplastic post treatment knitted in GLASS with on standard gauge.

Standard domestics: 1-3 ends depending on fullness desired.
Dubied 7gg -12gg: 1-2 ends.

Note that once you mould the fabric it won't return to it's original state but the texture will loosen over time and you'll be able to remould the fabric once more.
